I have just finished my 3rd year as a PhD student at Northwestern. I teach at the department of Media, Technology, and Society at NU and do research on media in the North Caucasus (Chechnya and Dagestan). I am interested in the topics of political communication, censorship, free speech, and de-Westernizing media studies.
